Superchips question

Well that is very misleading from what the vendor said, as I did not include the earlier part of the email where I was asking about daily driving at between 2-3k rpm shifts. Below is the full context of the email
v\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} o\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} w\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} .shape {behavior:url(#default#VML);} Matthew,
The shift points can manually be adjusted and fine tuned in each setting of the quick tune.

Can the shift points be manually adjusted, or are the preset tunes the only thing that adjusts the shift points?
Thanks
I am getting closer to purchasing, just like to do my research.

Matthew,
Your adjustability with the tuner is:
Shift points, shift firmness, speed limiter, rev limiter, and tires (22.5-42).
So to answer your questions:
1)It’s adjustable.
2)Most likely the guy raised the rev limiter
3)There are different pre set settings for different tunes

Great, only gas vehicles.
The only other thing I am concerned about is the 1-2 shift. I have read from other reviews from someone with the same model/year truck that regardless of which tune they chose while running the flashpaq 3865, that it did not shift into second gear until 3000 rpm.
- It seems high, Is this adjustable?
- Did the guy just have a lead foot or something? Stock shifts at 2000
- Are there different shift points within the different settings, 92 tune vs Mileage tune ?
Thanks for your quick response regarding my first question.

Matthew,
It really depends do you have a gas and a diesel vehicle? If the answer is no you only have one or the other then a Flashpaq is best for you. The Cortex just roles both diesel and gas into one tuner.

What is the difference between the two? Where can I get more detailed information at? Is there a user manual or something online I could read through?

hmmm, weird...
The quick tunes dont give you adjustability other than I think the rev limiter. Maybe on a different vehicle because these are multiplatformed. I run into a problem with this but from what SC said its because I didnt drive it enough for the computer to learn. My problem was it was bouncing the rev limiter at WOT and it wouldnt shift, I figured it out after doing it a second time, and blipping the throttle which allowed it to shift, it was way weird. It seemed like the rev limiter was lower than the WOT shift rpm. Granted I did only set the rev limiter a lil higher than stock then. Now the advanced tunes give you different options such as the WOT shift rpms along with the tire size, and the rev limiter. Anyone else wanna chime in? Mine doesnt have any adjustment for the normal shift points or shift firmness.
BTW I just did a test coming back from lunch and my 3865 with the advanced 92 tune and its shifting 1-2 at approx 2000-2200 rpms under normal driving (mild acceleration) conditions, now as for the rev limiter I have it set at 6200 and WOT shifts are 1-2 at set (IIRC) 5800 rpms and 2-3 is the same as the 1-2.

Earlier I meant 91 tune, not 92, my error.
