A leather shifter would be quite nice. I like the style of the GM New Ventures, the joystick-grip ones. I'm sure one could be adapted.
what specifically bugs you about the flowmaster? that shifter **** is going to be replaced sooner than later, the OEM is killer on my palms...anybody else notice that the trans is pretty notchy? I also find I need to clutch almost to the firewall to get it to shift smoothly, I guess that's probably a good indicator...won't slip...annoying though.

that's mean looking frenchy. not sure if it would go with my posh interior (you know, wood grain and all)...

Is that switch for your driving lights behind the grill?

The Flowmaster sounds good under load below about 2500 and above 4,000, but in between it ricey. It's also quite loud, and on cold mornings, when the truck is high idling, sounds a bit more like a leaky exhaust than an aftermarket exhaust.

The transmission is notchy, but it's definitely solid feeling. It's rated to almost 400 ft-lbs, bolted to an engine that makes 235. You'll learn to love it!
