Default 05 Dakota Double Din Dash Possible?

I have an 05 dakota and I have a double din dvd player and was told that it won't work unless I spend a crazy amount of money for a customized dash. Any one know anything? or have any ideas?

all you need is the part number from someone who has the Nav Bezel then order the double din installation kit. I'm waiting for someone to give me the part number, cause my dealership is retarded to look up the different ones.

But as I said, the easier way is to buy the Nav Bezel and get the double din kit from autotoys.com part number BKCDK650. It'll be a clean fit with all the trouble and mess of dealing with fiberglass resin.

I'll try to get Marker227 to chime in. He just had Best Buy install a DDin and I think they did a nice job for him or atleast he feels so. Maybe you can buy their kit and do it yourself?

You won't have any luck finding a bezel. I did the whole thing.... It's a pain.

Anyway, my bestbuy was able to fit my DNX5120 Kenwood into my existing bezel with a little work. The labor was about 250-300, but was worth every penny IMO.

I suggest asking your bestbuy. I didn't know who else to ask so I went to them first. They did a good job, but I wish it was 100% flush. Oh well.

did they just pretty much cut it out to fit it in? And is it not flush because of the volume **** from the existing stock stereo?

Yes and yes.

They could of left the volume ***** but it would of looked ugly. So the guy attached those two black plastic pieces to either side of the radio to give it a more flush look.

Do you want more pictures?
