Dodge doesn't have the heavy financial resources and Fiat support it needs to be able push the limits and develop fresh innovate quality products. They have been and are still very much are in trouble with no real line of vehicles to compete with the rest of the world. Hell how can you compete with Government Motors and a fairly healthy Ford let alone all of Asia’s offerings. The new Ford Ranger will have a 4.6 V8 over 300hp. I haven't seen the new Colorado yet with the V8.

The Raptor is nasty. A dealer near here had one for sale for a while, one day I passed it on the highway with the window sticker still on, and never saw it on the lot again.

I've read nothing of a 300 HP V8 Ranger. The only confirmed engine is the smallest I4 Ecoboost at around 170 HP and 180 TQ. I'd be suprised if a 6 cylinder ever makes it into a Ranger. I say two flavors of boosted fours, around 170 and 230 HP.

The 4.6L is not long for this world. The new 5.0L Coyote V8, big 6.2L V8 and Ecoboost V6's are going to be motivating the upcoming F150's. It might survive for a while as a base engine for work trucks, but no way it's going into the T6 Ranger.

I am gonna have to check around for one at the dealers here to see if I can get a peek at one. Now as for the SHOs, they are here. I know its not a truck but still! I am with cramerica, I doubt we'll ever see an 8 in a ranger. As for the 4.6L, its is a dog anyways, we have 4 in my company's fleet and they are gas hungry slugs. My 4.7 has more get to it then they do.

SHO's are bitchin. The V6 Ecoboost will be a great engine for the F150. Look at the torque curve. It doesn't have a torque curve, it's just a straight line at 350 FT-LB, from 1,500 RPM!! That's diesel territory. Imagine what tuners will turn it into.

Ford's looking good. How are they pulling this off without a bailout? They were low on cash themselves having to sell off Jaguar etc.. Must be some people that actually care about the product and not just stuffing their pockets like most.

raptor is a pile! for all that money and my matchbox has more travel than that thing. doesnt even have coilovers in the front. for 1/2 of the price of that you can get a base model f150 with the 5.4 and put a camburg kit on it and a nice supercharger and the raptor would be left in the dust.

just my 2 cents. they talked that truck up alot and when i got the chance to go for a ride and check it out top and bottom....wasnt impressed.

This is the f-150 yall should be looking into making out of our Daks
