Default K&N Drop-in Air Filter

Hey guys!! I got a good deal on a K&N Drop-in Filter so i took it and i can tell now WOW!!! There is a lot of difference on the throttle response on my truck than with the regular paper filter!!

I can't tell how big is the difference of having a C.A.I. but if this is only with the drop-in filter i can't wait to get the C.A.I.

How much?

I just got a Napa brand air filter for $8. Seems to have made a bit of a difference, but I probably would have sprung for the K&N if they had them in stock.

I'm looking more so for something to change the mpg, not so much power/torque.

I put in the K&N drop in filter and cut the air box. I noticed more gain from mid to top end than anything down low.....but then again I have a 3.7L. Would that be considered as comparing apples to cantalopes?

I think it was $52.00 and got it for $29.99. I got it that cheap because someone tore the box up to open it! If you want to feel the difference get one! I want to get the whole system but i can't now! So this is the next best thing!!!!

They make a very noticeable difference. You can actually hear the air being pulled in. Stock assemblies are designed to make the engine quieter, so they are far more restrictive. Congrats on the good deal brother.

This thread is 3 years old, but yes, that is a K&N drop in filter.
