What's going on with yours?
I don't know any shops that buy their parts off of ebay. And I know the labor rate around here is $125-150 an hour. So, if you figure dealership list pricing on the cluster and an hour labor, it wasn't really out of line at all.

Believe he means the price is typical for a stealership and way out of line considering you could get a used on off ebay for that price and do it yourself.

Welcome to DF. You should start your own thread. You will get more traffic and visability to your question that way.

My 2005 Dakota same error - -I did the test holding down reset button -turn key on-release reset button and test began went thru 7 steps with tach and speedometer displaying readings at each step for one example -speedometer at 30 and tach at 2 which I read as 32 ? At end of test, odometer read 50600 then went back to error. The milage shown was not my last milage. Is this an error code ?? Also, anyone know how hard it is to remove the inst. cluster?? Also where the odometer input signal comes from, the tranny? or wherever? Any info appreciated

Exactly what I meant. Of course the dealer will rape you as usual.

The instrument cluster is pretty easy to remove and replace, below is a thread showing how to do it.
That may or may not eliminate the error code.

I just bought a used cluster yesterday and am going to try and replace it this weekend. Hope it works. I will update when done.

Has anyone else had any of the same problems and if so how have you resolved them? Is there anyway to do a reset and see if this clears the error message?
Any help would be appreciated, if the error doesnt correct itself i'll have to run down to the dodge dealer and have them give it a look over, so far they've said just to look it over it'll cost over a hundred bucks, so hopefully it wont come to that. This poor school boy cant afford that :P
