Had been out of town working for 2 weeks. Was checking the oil and noticed the hood insulation drooping down. Reached up and hit it, bunch of rat turds flew out. Then next thing I know, I got a 10" rat on top of my cab. Little bastard made a mess. Took the insulation down, all ripped up inside. Dog food and rat **** everywhere. My wife had been driving the truck every day too. Was a new one on me anyway. Just another thing for you guys to check while you're under the hood
wow.... just wow... I would understand if the truck was sitting there, but with your wife driving it they made a home in it??? this is a true definition of a ratrod!
damn that sucks, i parked my 98 for almost a month one time, and had the same thing, only i didnt know till i started driving it again, ---damn whats that smell!!! poped the hood and the little bastard had a nest on my intake manifold, burning, eww... and that was in wyoming, never knew there were rats there till then
a project car i picked up back in august had that same little problem except it was in the headliner what a pain.. but a little mouse killer and sticky traps are the winner!!
I guess dodge wiring is tasty to mice and rats. My dad's dodge work van had to be almost completely rewired under the hood. Two weeks later, it had to go again to reconnect two wires to the fuse box. And, it wasn't even "Down by a river."
