I don't know, I think I'd start with a different set of rims.

those are my daily wheels and tires i have a set for when i hit the track lol. those things are waay too heavy to race with.

Does anyone know if the frame is high strength steel or mild/ cold rolled? because ill have to have a blank taylor welded if i need a new cross member for the 4-link

I'd still look into the ford 9"

but what do i know.

and don't say it won't work.

I've seen a ford 9" on a toyota celica, which was FWD, converted to RWD.

Look around online and you'll find the Chrysler 9.25 is a solid axle, I would personally have my doubts about the 8.25 with your plans but a 9.25 would be extremely easy to fit to the truck since you can get them made for it, just find a Dakota or Raider with the 9.25 in a junkyard and pull it.

GOOD NEWS!!!! Guy right down the road from me totalled his 2007 hemi bighorn! just talked to him and he has jba shorty headers and hes willing to trade my 4-wheeler for it haha. I might be able to squeeze the 9.25 rear end out of him too!

Is that rear end the same size? whats the wms to wms width?

Grab a tape measure and go find your Ram buddy. Maybe even bring a notebook and a pencil! You might just be able to find the answer on your own.

5% chance this project comes through. Sorry, just not feelin' it.

"What I am talking about" is your question-asking rather than your research-doing.

What are *you* talking about? You want to throw a motor that was never designed for the truck, and a "4 link" like it's a Lego set. You want all the answers handed over, rather than doing the annoying measuring and compatibility checking yourself. I said it early on, no one here has done this. The answers aren't just sitting in a FAQ somewhere.

Your first post on Bionic is about computer compatibility, wheras it sounded here like you were just going to plug them together like magic.

Good build threads start with results and fill in the details.

Knock yourself out. I eagerly await this awesome build thread.
