Default Back again, with questions, of course.

So you see my truck below. I want to do a couple things to it, soonish.

I would like to find a hood that already has the hood scoop on it. I think the RT model comes with it. Where would you suggest I look for this without paying the dealer $600, for just the scoop and having it installed and painted?

Also, I have a second set of the wheels you see. I'm thinking of finding out what it would cost to have them powder-coated or painted to match my truck. Good thing. I know someone that does this type of work, so maybe I could get it done cheap.

Yes, I need a newer picture of my truck to reflect a few of the changes, like the leveling kit and the cab lights. I have ordered LED tail lights and they should be here and in soon.

The R/T hood is just a scoop on the standard hood.

Nothing special about it.

The scoop would be for a look. Whether it actually 'scoops' or not isn't important.

So, went to the place my nephew works and asked about getting the wheels powder-coated. Their biggest concern is the material of the wheels. Pretty sure they are aluminum, but are they chromed or just polished?

Either way, they can do them, for $85 a wheel, which beats the $200+ each getting wheels from a store. So, the next questions is, has anyone done this before? You see the wheels. If so, how did they turn out after having them powder-coated? Pictures maybe?

Sheesh, people are so shocked I have a spare set of factory wheels like this...

No, they aren't for sale...

My point was, why not just get a hood scoop and put it on the truck instead of buying an entire stock hood, with the scoop attached.

As for the wheels, they are aluminum, with a chrome clad "wheel cover" if you will... same general concept as a hub cap...

Good luck getting it off, though.

It's like, super attached...

The price, from the Dodge dealer, for just the scoop, is $600. I kinda figure I can get a complete hood for less than that.

Working on the wheels still...

The JC Whitney looks similar to the one Dodge sells for the Ram, Dakota, Magnum, etc but not quite the same.
