Lghtng, I just want to make sure before I would attempt to buy or install since the AWD drive system is computer controlled. Apparently it senses wheelspin and engages a clutch mechanism in the transfer case which sends power to the front wheels. Since the 3865 supposedly affects the torque management system and some other power controls, I want to cover my *** and not blow out the transfer case or something.

Bain...***. haha

the awd isnt computer controlled, basically it has another differential in the t-case that transfers power to the front and rear drive shafts, and when you engauge 4wd it locks the diff in the t-case, and yes the 3865 is great

Meh, just order the Cortex then, it has a 2 year drivetrain warranty with it, or some crazy thing like that.

yeah, they wouldn't warranty my raider because the programer isn't intended for it, so it wasn't worth the extra cash.

I just got my 3865 in yesterday, just updated it. I plan on trying it out tomorrow sometime if I have some time. Looking forward to it, have heard a lot of good things about it.

The Flashpaq has a yr warranty... I cant see paying that huge of a difference in money for another yr. Its the same tuner, just in a different box.

Yeah, before I bought mine, the dealer told me the heated seats could be turned on with the remote start... it doesnt work that way either

Bottom line is these guys at dealerships are schmucks. No matter if it's sales, service, or whatever. It sure would be nice to have a 'direct buy' program for cars. :/

Speaking of schmucks...it's real nice how I emailed Superchips a couple days ago about compatibility and blah blah and still haven't received a reply from them. Nice customer service there you jerkoffs...

But wait, there's more. As I was typing this I decided to call down there and try to get some answers directly. The rep I talked to actually did answer my q's but he was kind of a condescending dick about it. Ugh, I don't get how people in business can treat customers (or potential customers) like a p.o.s. and stay in business. If *I* did that, I'd have no customers left!

Anyway, he said the 3865 covers ALL Dodge gas powered vehicles, which doesn't make sense. I would think maybe he meant all Dodge V8 gas vehicles. I don't see one single programmer being capable of handling say, a 4cyl, 6 cyl, 8 cyl and even 10 cyl application. Anyway, it looks like there might be a tuner in my near future. Thank god for Visa. :/
