Got the universal gauge pod all molded up...
ALMOST! about 95% done...
Got it molded the other night, and used some Loctite plastic adhesive to hold it in place... it wasn't going anywhere, but I wanted overkill, sooo I added almost two and a half 4 inch glue sticks worth of hot glue to the inside around the seams, as hot as it could get...
Well, then I realized I had ZERO bondo...
bought some today, and got it almost all done...
All I have to do, is sand the two touch up spots, and then lay some fiberglass over the edges, to hold it in place, sand it down once more, and prime it, then paint it... and then it's DONE!
Hahaha, here's where I'm sitting as of right now...

I have to figure out where the hell im gonna put my other three gauges now...
I bought a 3 gauge single DIN metal holder, but it looks like I'm not gonna be able to use it after all.
Oh, btw, thanks for the tip on how to mold the pods... very helpful.

cool cool, glad i could help,
i went with a hand fiberglassed pod instead of a univ. one for my tach
i shaved my dash vents above my radio to make room for my air gauges, might be an idea for you?

lol, I have to get the patch spots sanded down, then sand it with like some 600 grit... then paint it.
Are ya surprised to see me actually finish something?

I am just wondering about how its aimed... isnt that going to be pointing pretty much up at the roof with the handle drooping in on the top part of the gauge?
as for finishing it up, I would sand it down nice, then hit it with some rage gold body filler.
that fiberglass is going to want to eat that ABS, so mix it real cool and give it a lot of time to set up.
