ok so most of you know about me hitting the curb situation..., well ive tried 2 shops now and they both can not align my truck...... basically my American racing burn rims do not have a lip on them and they roll right into the tire, / the tire has a bead lock on it.... so now im like totally F***ED, theres one more shop ive got to try before i give up and buy some cheap stealies...
anyone have this type of problem before?
I had the problem on a mustang once... I ended up going to the stock wheels and tires for the alignment.
I am guessing your stock wheels are gone, so you might be SOL. You would think they would be able to align new wheel and tire designs by now... (this isnt a "new thing")
yeah i got rid of the stockers back when i first got the wheels... sucks..\
now if i buy a set of 15 inch rims is that ok as long as there 5x5.5? whats the offset have to be worst case scenario
That sucks man. I have my stock 16s but they have drag slicks on them, lol. You could always hit up some local salvage yards and see what you can find.
i wish i had a friend who had a dakota.... hahaha but no i found a shop today that said they can do any custom rim alignment so hopefully we are good to go!! ill find out tomorrow...
had the alignment done by a well know shop that only does it, driver side tie rod was bent so they replaced both and did a full alignment which solved my crooked steering wheel problem! all in all everything is back to normal.. now to jump on some rancho shocks.. i want to do 2 at a time just to see the difference plus cash is tight, which would you guys do first front or back?
