I think if Trucky goes with the 212x cams the 2800 would be fine. Richie is running a 3000 on 212 cams in his 4.7L jeep and doing well.

Yes but like Blown mentioned I am also getting cams and a custom tune, and gears. The guys on Ram forum suggested 2700-3000ish. Not saying anyone is wrong though until I have a chance to call the company. (I have limited access to phones right now, deployed)

Don't get me wrong, boost is important when choosing a stall. The big factors are gears and camshaft durations.

true, all I know is my comp cam is the biggest one before their racing cams with a 230 duration @.050 which is a rough idle. I was recommended a 2400 stall so 2800 just seems high to me. 2800 is at least 1000-1500 increase over stock so trucky you'll definitely need an extra tranny cooler. If you over shoot I guess the worst scenario will be an extra decrease to fuel economy added to what may already go down with the cams. Also, if it's too far off it could affect ET's due to the extra slippage.

Definitely give them a call though...it's their specialty

Right on, thanks. I am going to tell them that since I will have gears I want some mid-range power when I stomp on it from 25-45 mph, so whatever that is. Assuming that gears give me all the take off power I can handle without tire-slippage.

I emailed back and forth with edge and ended up ordering a TC, whoops! My plan was to wait until Blown got his installed but this money I have saved for my truck is burning a hole in my online bank account But yeah, with my mods he said 2800 stall, 'street edge' model. I also got a military discount! Woot.

Congrats brother. I ordered that and the tranny valve body from Nick (airram) today also. Should have both within the next two weeks.
