Torque Converter?
As many of you may know, I am deployed until March, and I plan on making a lot of plans a reality upon my return. One thing I am uncertain on is some people have mentioned torque converters.. does anyone have any experience with these? Know where to get one or what kind of performance gains they will provide?
I am planning on getting cams and 4.10 gears on top of my e-fan and custom tune in April... hope someone can clear this up!

Give me about three weeks and I will let you know. I've ordered an Edge stall and I will let you know how it works out.

Good! That should really help your performance considering how far you've changed the torque band.
I put an auto in my cj7 with a high modified engine and used the stock 900rpm stall converter. I needed a 2000-2500 stall. So I had to crank the idle up to keep it from cutting off in gear. Needless to say I called TCI yesterday and should have a new one here.
Hopefully, you talked to a tech b/c engine, gears, and tire size all affect what TC you need. If you under size your TC then it'll perform closer to stock. At least that's what TCI said. And if you don't have an auxiliary tranny cooler then you should order one of those too. The higher stall speeds heat up much faster.

Can someone help me out with this form? I have looked over my VIN report and gone online and I still am not sure about some of the categories. I want to get this right so I can get the best TC to match my needs.

That sounds a bit high of a stall considering the one that just showed up for my bday last week. My jeep is a 360 V8 with 9:1 pistons, 280 advertised degree cam (230 deg @ .050"), and 4.10 gears. From what I can gather the 4.7 has 9.5:1 pistons, 244/254 degree cam(not sure if that's advertised or @.050), and 3.92 highest stock gears. With that said the tc tci recommended me was only a 2200-2400 stall so I'd imagine at most the 4.7 shouldn't be higher than 2000 maybe 1800-2000stall.
Anyhow, you didn't mention what category you needed.
Also, I checked out TCI for the 545 tranny and it showed this http://www.compperformancegroupstore...ct_Code=141600 . It's stall increase for the Hemi is 2400-2600 and no mods were needed for the hemi to use. I don't know if it'd bolt to the 4.7 for sure but if it could it still seems awfully high of a stall for it.

Also, for the most part if you give them tire size, axle gear, displacement, camshaft duration, and maybe Hp they should be able to recommend a tc. Calling them seems much more helpful, atleast, that's the way it worked for me with TCI.
