Question stopping power

i am rolling in the 06 Dak, 4X4, SLT V8 Magnum. i have done the usual stuff of cold air intake, magna flow exhaust, auto start, and upgraded shocks. it has started to feel like a visit to the dentist when i try to look for parts. for the simple reason that companies will not ship to alaska. if only they knew how many Daks are up here.

if you guys could point me towards a company that has front bumper covers and the absorber, an upgrade in brakes so i can stop on all this ice, i would really appreciate it.

and just so you guys know, the bumper cover shatters like glass at -54 degr.

Heres some info on an upgrade Ericemery did. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...on-brakes.html

As far as the fascia goes, I would try www.rockauto.com They list all your need parts at a reasonable price!

But, how are better brakes going to help you stop on ice?

-54 degrees.. Ouch man. The wind from single digit numbers hurt enough, I couldn't imagine negative 54. Post up a pic of that shattered bumper cover!

Are you running the stock tires? or do you have a nice set of Ice gripping studded tires?

that could really help a LOT with the stopping on ICE!!!

at the moment i am riding on BFGood's alterain TKO's. they do help out on the ice and i feel that they grip really good. the reason i asked about the brakes is cause i think that every little can help.
thanks for the info on rockauto.com, i sent them an e-mail asking for a quote on shipping and stuff. but that was on wednesday and i don't seem to be hearing from them at all. i will be searching on brakeperformance.com here today. if anyone else has any opinions or suggestions towards upgrades for me i would greatly apreciate it.

I also did the fronts, with the Napa upgrade, it did improve my braking, but when I hit the ice here, I'm still sliding all over the place,
but that could partly be my tires as well.

i tried LMC and they told me by my VIN # that i have a durango front bumper and that if i did want one that i would more than likely get the bumper with the slotts. so then i would have to get the chrome cap, which i don't want to do. at the moment i am waiting for Mopar Parts America to get back to me with a quote on the shipping cost for the front end parts, but that was last wednesday now.

as far as the brake set from NAPA, did you get a specific brand or style? i was also thinking of going semi-metallic for the pads. is there anything negative about going that way?
