Default would like to hear from guys running 33" tires or larger

I've searched forever trying to get an idea of where the problem spots are with fitting 33" tires. It doesn't make sense that most guys can fit a 265/75/16 aprox. a 32" tire with zero lift, not even a spacer. But, to fit 33" tires, most guys on here have a leveling kit, and a 3" body lift? So 5" more lift for a 1" taller tire? Where are the tires rubbing? Just on the mudflap behind front tire? I've got my leveling kit now, and will be buying new tires in the next month so if I really need to buy the body lift I will. Also, are you guys just fitting these larger tires for street use? Any off roading flexing the suspension. Rubbing, and where. This truck will be taken off road on trails here in Colorado, nothing too crazy, but I need the tires to fit.I really want to fit 285/75/16. Thanks everyone, I know the super bowls going on so I'll check back tonight

it will all depend on the width and offset of the wheel, and the width of the tire, on mine i had to trim the plastic inner fender on the rear side to get them to clear, but im running 12.50's, dont know if the front bumper would have to be trimed as i dont have anything there anymore, a 265/75/16 will mostlikely rub at full steer lock on a stock truck, 33/12.50 will rub the frame on a stock wheel, i tried to fit 265/75/16 with my leveling kit and eagle 16x8 aftermarket wheels and had major interfierence and couldnt run them

Impatient are we pig? The superbowl may be over but we started drinking beer around noon, so eating a little more and going to sleep is all that was on our minds last night!

Pig, I run 265/75/16s on stock 16x7" wheels with the TM 1.5" kit and still get run @ full lock under full compression. Mainly, I get it at the factory molded mud flap.

Understood! myself included. Donkey, i will probably just stick with my 2" leveling kit and go with the 265/75/16 and trim if needed. I can understand the rubbing with 12.5" wide tires and different rims. I like the tall and narrow look. Jeep I just sold had 33/10.5 bfg all terrains. I'll be keeping the stock rims, so just for fun I think I'll have them mount up the 285's and see how it looks. I can deal with a little rub on the frame at full lock. That can be adjusted. I wish I can find a narrow tire at the 33" tire height for the 16 inch rim. Anyway, I think some major trimming of my front plastic bumper cover and removal of the rock gaurd behind the tire is in order. I'll be sure to post pix when I get the new tires. Thanks again guys!

i ran 265 65 18 on stckk suspension with no lift at all. on aftermarket wheels and just had to trim the front mud flap and front bumper a little. I now have a lift and they look still a decent size but would love to go bigger
