Default MTX ThunderForm Subs for 05 Dakota

Since I received so much great info on my last post I thought I would throw out another question I had. I was thinking about one of MTX's sub boxes for the rear seat in my 05 dakota. http://www.shipsound.com/product_inf...ucts_id=103146

The problem is they say it will only fit a 2000-2004. I found an old thread where a guy says he had one of these in an 05. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/miscell...ml#post1907602

Are the back seats very different from 04-05? I don't want to get one of these and modify the heck out of it to make it fit. Any info would be great.

It doesn't look like he had to modify the box. I think it would probably fit just fine. I'd make sure to get a woofer grill.

Would it be possible to get one behind EACH back seat? With some minimal jack bracket reconfiguration?

trucky it looks like it would be very easy to get one on each side. The jack would have to move but that wouldnt be that hard

I don't mean the jack, in the other thread it seemed like the actual mounting bracket could get in the way...but who knows for sure, no one has done two shallow mounts in a 4 door. Le sigh. I still have a big ol' box with a 10" just sittin in my back seat waiting to be stolen.

You know, that would just give me a reason to overhaul my sound system.

Exactly...use insurance money for NEW stuff... it all works out in the end. FACT is... I would like two kickers behind the seats, someone should try it
