I didn't mention that one because they only have Motive and I've heard bad things about them whining and having bad customer service. Although I am beginning to find out the install is more important than the gear brand.

Ok this is seriously irritating. I contacted Randy's ring and pinion about the front end gears and this is his response.
"Travis,
In your ‘05 Dakota you have an 8” reverse rotation. It does not look like we offer a gear to fit your application. Let us know if there is anything else we may help you with in the future."
I'm back to square one. Doesn't anyone else with a 4X4 have gears in their front? WHERE DID YOU GET THEM?! ahhhh

I don't understand why they'd tell you that. I searched on their site and came up with this.

http://www.ringpinion.com/ProductDet...px?ProdID=1333

This lists our trucks under the applications.

I know, I told him that...and his response is what I posted. I emailed 3 of their techies but only he responds... Sean Emerson is his name. Something is wacky it doesn't make sense.

"Hello,
The problem you are encountering is due to the popularity of the gear change. This is not a common change made and due to this there is not a set of gears made that would be correct for the front differential. At least not that we carry. The only thing I can suggest is that you keep searching the Internet for answers. Thanks, Mike"

Another vendor said that in 2004 dodge switched to the reverse rotation 8" axle in the front end so no one carries it. I am serisouly ticked off... why make a 4x4 truck that has no way to get regeared? I have contacted summit, randy's ring and pinion, and richmond with all the same answer... NO product. What the F...

Ok let me know how that goes... I am going to contact some dodge dealers about this crap. Maybe we can use an OEM ram gear for our fronts.
