this thing is confusing me... so i had to go to class got there didnt notice anymore oil... had to go pick up my contacts which are about 5 miles down the road get there let it idel got down still the same got home turned it off crawled under there its fine... truck got up to normal temp didnt hear any noise's tho i did notice sumthing when i gave it more of a throttle but i think it was the road i was on its alittle rough

Depending on how bad the leak is, you wont get any oil with short trips like that. Mine drove me nuts because I thought it was just a mess from the guys when I got the oil changed, so I cleaned it up and watched it for a couple days and no more oil. I was under there a month later, and there was oil everywhere. Leakage from the crankshaft seal requires the motor to be running, and for a minor leak probably at highway speeds. You need to get the oil warmed up and drive around for a while. When I was trying to see if mine leaked, even driving like I stole if for miles at a time didnt cause it to leak. After a week of driving 60 miles round trip to school each day, there was oil again on the front of the engine again.
