I don't see it happening. I haven't seen a commercial for a 3rd gen in...well, never. I also have seen 1 new Dakota for sale at the last 3 dealerships I've been to. It was a stripped v6, tucked away in back. This was a large dealership. The other 2 had none.

I don't think that the latest Dakota has been the biggest hit in the looks dept. Sorry to be a downer. I really like my truck and hope to have it for a while, but dodge isn't doing too great of a job trying to sell these things.

Thanks for the welcome bro. I really like my dak so far. The only complaint i have is the 1970's cadillac ride it has but that should be fixed by the Rancho's i just ordered for all four corners . I ordered the TM leveling kit too since Im going to have the front apart anyways. Might as well do it all at once.

Same here. I have an 08 and hardly ever see another one on the road. In fact, when I was debating buying one this factor gave me some pause. Dakota is nicely positioned. Rams are too big for me and compact trucks...well... Chrysler is engaged in some self fulfilling prophecy; don't market the Dakota and then claim they had to kill it because of low sales. I don't even want to think what uncertainties Fiat will bring on.
