Default Out of the ordinary mods you have done?

Most all of us know the standard mods. Intake, tuner, exhaust, leveling kits, tires, stereo, headlight bulbs etc.

Have you done anything out of the ordinary to make the truck better, even if just a little bit?

I'll start with a couple things I've done.

1. Driving lights on carr light wing (not too out of the ordinary)

2. Replaced turn signals/brake lights bulbs with higher wattage 4157 bulbs. (the running light filament is stock wattage but the turn/brake filaments are upped). Be warned the life span is a fraction of the 3157's.

3. Did some soundproofing in the doors, floor and back wall. I sometimes forget how much difference it made until I ride in other's vehicles. Used dynamat and some home depot insulators.

4. Ran another 12v outlet and made it constant hot. Mine only had 1 from the factory and it was only ignition hot. Want to run another into my toolbox

5 Hella supertone horns...so much better than the factory horns. Not quite the ridiculous train horns, but people will hear them for sure.

what you got?

Nothing to out of the ordinary for me other than the permenant Yakama Roof Rack rails I had installed. which I have yet to see on another Dak.

I ran a 12v plug to the back of my box as well, (for air compressor or lighting etc.) I installed water proof switch in the box for the plug which is wired right off the batt.
I also have my LED lights in the box off the same switch. so much easier to see what your doing in the dark, (the cargo lamp just dosn't cut it)

I replaced all the bulbs on the truck with LED's. (some requiring resisters to make this work)

I bought a RAM Laptop mount for my truck, this mounts to the front passanger seat bolts and is easily removable and adjustable. (great for work)

My truck didn't come with power locks, so I had this added, (no more trying to find the key hole in the dark)

other than that everything else is mostly the norm, Aftermarket stereo system and speakers, Handsfree, Sirius Sat, Brush Guard, Driving lights, side steps, hood deflector, Extang Revolution Tonneau cover, bugrug mat, Penda box liner, Rear moulded mud flaps, Hid Fogs, etc.

Hey donkeypunch are you gonna try and put the 285's on your truck without a body lift?

I need some lights in the toolbox too, good call.

Do you have a pic of the mount? Does it seem like it could work with a manual trans?

Hardly seems worth putting up after Blown's recipe for a firebreathing Dakota of doom but I retrofit one of the MyGig 20gb touchscreen radios into my '05:

Also painted my rear differential cover:

Hey brother, your truck is awesome as well.

The wildest mod would probably be the Supercharger. I had to modify and re-arange the entire engine bay to fit it as it was designed for a Ram. My fuel injectors are made by Ford for the SVT Cobra. My 2-BAR MAP is for a SRT4 Neon, lol.

Once I get the intercooler and valve body installed I will be running out of performance mods. The only thing left will be to fully forge the internals.
