So ive been reading a lot about superchips and cams for the 4.7's but noone seems to have anything for the HO's I have put on a Cold air intake and have Flowmaster exhaust. I would like to get the superchips 3865 but have heard they dont respond well with the HO's. Any and all help with be gratefully appreciated. thanks

 

In part I'd agree with SC tuner being unsatisfactory on HO's. The 91 tune sucks for everything but full throttle. Normal driving isn't aggressive. But if you use the Mileage XS tune normal driving is awesome. The truck is very response. Oddly it's better than 91 but even more your MPG is worse than stock???..

Anyway, I've been pleading with SC to fix and they're just starting to reinvestigate...again... it'd be fixed faster if some HO owner could take their truck to SC shop

 

get intouch with sct tuning. or talk to hemifever or krc performance if you want tuning for the H.O.

Hemifever@aol.com he is a SCT field tuner for KRC Performance. He writes my tunes and helpes me trouble shoot any problems I have. His tunes beat any general tuner I have ever used.

Other than the tune you should consider
1. Cams
2. Gears
3. Stall

 

oh ok thanks Blown287 Does anyone have specific suggestions like what cam the only place i can find cams is on KRC and is there any shift kits out there?

 

Currently KRC has HO Cam regrinds. They are researching billet cams but noghting is out yet.
