Speaking of skid plates.. who else loves how the 3 gen gas tank sticks below the frame! Thanks again for another crappy design flaw Dodge.

Just curious how this is a design flaw? If you are pushing for that much clearance with a dakota, you shouldnt be there. Its a Dakota not a fully built rock crawler... just saying.Originally Posted by Eimer123

I know the dakota is anything but a rock crawler lol. i just go off road and in the mud nothing too serious just want the most protection i can get.

I know what you were going for man, I was just saying that to Eimer. Plus if the tank wasnt lower, you wouldnt have the capacity... Originally Posted by Dinger838

And without a lower tank you wouldn't need skid plates, so I am sure some thought was put into the design and it wasnt just thrown out there

whats the difference between race and economy head? will one not work? and should i get solid lash adjusters or not worth it?

Economy heads have stock H.O. valve springs and valves. The race prept have performance valves and beehive valve springs. If you go to a 212 or higher cam I would recommend the race prep heads.
I have not tried them yet. Anytime you port and polish heads they will get awesome air flow.
