You get a 4.7 Ram and you still have the same engine you have right now. Don't bother with the Lucas, I've never used it and always had good oil test results.
Get a decent synthetic, Mobil 1 at least or Amsoil/Royal Purple, 5w-30 or 5w-20 depending what it calls for in your manual and on the oil cap and change the filter too. I would recommend always changing the filter when changing the oil, if you are tighter on cash go to Napa and get the Napa Gold oil filter for your truck. They are actually made by Wix and are a high quality filter.
If after doing that the truck still ticks when warm (not just when warming up) take it to the dealership or a good mechanic and explain what has been done and that you suspect the valve lash adjustors. Lemon law requires that the truck be taken in for the same issue 3 times and not be fixed, it doesn't sound like yours is a lemon, seems like she just wants some attention and the right weight oil.

i always change the oil filter when i change the oil i use K/N 2004. reason i was told to leave the oil filter in on this one was ebcause it had less then 200 miles on it. it been to the dealership 5 times just on a problem (not this one) so ive already qualified for it. shes running good now just still trying to firgure out this jerkiness when hes doing the brakes going to ask him to blow the injectors again. thanks all for the help. did note if it starts happing again dealership gonna do solid vavle lashes

Thats different... I am saying to make it "better", I dont believe in them!
Well they may help with regular oil but there is no use for them with a high quality synthetic, and since I'm a full believer in synthetics (started on Mobil 1 and moved on to Amsoil) I have no use for the additives.
