Angry Oops!

I put a booboo on the truck Saturday. I was fishing and leaving for the day and back into a tree.

The tree wasn't standing straight and was angled toward the truck, otherwise I think the tailgate would have been untouched. As it stands, the tailgate is toast and so is the bumper. A little over $1600 in damage.

Not a good week-end.

The whole bumper is pushed in. Notice the hitch is not centered in the hole in the bumper, it is also buckled below the left side of the license plate, plus the dent right below the step pad. The body shop just wants to replace it, and I'm not going to argue...I'd rather have a new one than one with body work done to it.

From those pictures it doesn't even look that bad. heck, i would probably just leave it until i backed into a few more trees before I replaced it! haha.

don't feel to bad. I was backing up with a crate in the box of my truck forgot the tailgate was down. didn't correct for the extra two feet. backed into a wooden fence post same side as yours. lol just so you know your not alone.
