Default Brake light spasm

Before I did ANY modding to my truck this spring... I turned on my truck and the brake lights keep flicking on and off when I'm in park. As soon as I shift to reverse, drive, or neutral it goes away... but it still freaks me out. What would cause this? I just re-did my brake lights and nothing was wrong with the wiring back there... and it still flickers when I start up... anyone else hear of this?
