as i have read the y-pipe is very restrictive on our trucks. So my question is who makes a new y-pipe for our truck, has anybody put one on and if so what part number did you get and how hard was install
Before going to true duals, I had a custom "Y" pipe made by Big Al's in Portsmouth, VA.
ive got them all around me!! just a couple towns over from that one!!
how was the price/quality ive been contemplating goin over there to have another exhaust set up made, used to have a buddy that worked there
I bought a muffler with claps and cut off the entire exhaust from the "y" pipe back with a dremel tool. With my exhaust "clamped' in place I asked them what it would cost to weld it, they did it for free. That is when they propositioned me about a better "y" pipe. I believe it cost around $100 but it wasn't bad at all and they did a really good job.
I used Big Al's on Wester Branch Blvd close to I664.
I did drive, lol. Ask them and see if they remember the guy with the blue dakota that came in with only clamps and exhaust tape holding everything together, lol.
A custom shop in Oklahoma fabbed up my true duals.
