Default New exhaust system....

Installed a dual kit I got off ebay. Came with a FM Super 44 muffler, I thought by going to the dual chamber it would be a little quieter in the cab. NOT. I LOVE the sound outside, but inside at, say, between 1500 - 2000 RPM, you can't hear yourself think. Anyone have suggestions or experience with another model of FM or Magnaflow that will still give a great sound on the outside, but not the steady drone inside? Or is it one of those "have your cake and eat it too" things? I know the 40 series are "aggressive" sounding and the 50 series are "moderate" according to the FM website. I know we're all loud motor junkies, but I sometimes have to drive with the wife/kids on trips....any advise? (besides not taking the wife and kids with me....)

I have a flowmaster delta 55. Single in/out and kept the front resonator. Love the sound outside (start up the truck with the door open to hear it better) and I have no drone inside. I am very happy with my FM Delta 55.

I've got flowmasters too, the drone is RIDICULOUS, but I have no resonators, and turndowns. But I'm 17 so.. no biggie. The radio usually cancels it out anyway. If I wasn't so cheap, and had bought a used flowmaster, I would have gone with cherrybomb, or maybe even borla.

one way you could help it a little is to move the muffler its self as far behind the cab as you can or put a heat shield around it. i don't know what series i have on mine but after 5 years me and the family have gotten used to it. on that i have been thinking of changing out to a magnaflow.
