Default ethinal in fuel

for a while my dad has been adding pure ethinal into his fuel, and claiming power and econemy gains! so I tried it and first tank i got a 60 km gain on the first half !! I only added 2 liters and did not notice power gains. anyone else try this, I asume that is already added to fuel anyways. and that higher grade fuel is higher ethinal.

Am I right.

if this is the Ethanol you are referring to dont do it, it is not your friend.. Dont worry the Epa is trying to raise the amount of Ethanol in the US gas supply to E15 which is crap because it burns up motors.. it can ruin boat motors, jet skis, snowmobiles, lawn mowers so if you enjoy your toys being ruined because of our dumb azz government knock yourself out, but just say no to Ethanol in our gas.. By the way when I am speaking of toys I am talking brand new ones being ruined, it really ticks me off that this crap is going on thanks Al gore for your mis leading BS.. Cya Slick

Ethanol may be good for the environment, but its no good for engines even though it burns cleaner. And might I add, if you support ethanol you contribute to the rising prices in food products. Ethanol is made from corn, and now the corn market has more compitition, raising the prices everywhere. Just something to ponder.

Its for use in flex fuel compatible vehicals only.
It contains up to 85% ethonal in it.

The advantage: Its cheaper by about $.15 I think

The disadvantages: Worse fuel economy
Less performance
And did I mention, less performance?

Theres a ton of stuff on the internet about E85 if you do a google search. If you want to read up on just ethanol in general, you can search that but you will get article with the complete process on how it is a renewable fuel source and things like that. It all depends on how interested you are in the subject.

They used to sell gas with ethonal only in the major cities here in Wisconsin, but now all of Wisconsin has 10% ethonal added.
