looks like a solid setup the metal should last. unless your like crossing a river
i think you should be fine. like you said in the begining theres
no suction on the scoop and if your worried about leaves and
stuff those pre-filters work great.

Well I got my Airaid CAI installed last night. I tried working on the scoop but its being a PITA up where it goes through the fender. I think I have to remove the headlight so I can get my hands in the fender.

Thanks for the comment guys

I havent had a chance to work on it really, it began pissing me off. Im trying to find some 3" flex pipe to go between the top of the fender and to the air box because the heating duct pipe isnt very easy to work with. I may be able to work on it wednesday, but Im not sure. Right now Im replacing my spark plugs and I have to get a new idle air control sensor so this one is on hold. But dont worry, Ill finish it.

i have an idea using flex pipe why don't run the flex pipe from that hole right above the washer-fluid behind the covering. just use sumthing wide on the outside then smaller flex pipe to move around to get to the air box area that way the air is pushed in and throw the prefilter over the wide end. just a thought.... when i get done getting my new tail lights and sub/amp i might do this...

Ive only felt that hole through the covering and I thought it would be too small. I may have to take another look though because that would be the best spot.
