I picked it up in the same section as all the heating duct. They had square piping adapters, round, straight sections, flexable, and then all the vents.

I tested it out one day when I had the intake in my back seat; I was driving at 50mph, took the scoop and hung it out the window and felt the air coming through it .... IT DEFINETLY MOVES SOME AIR! The truck also doesnt lose any power when its at full operating temp. I never lose the power band. I also installed the "power wire" mod the next night after installing the scoop. Now I have to wait for my fastman to come in the mail.

Its all finished guys! I sprayed it all with galvanized metal primer and flat black rustolium paint. Its a pretty quick paint job, but I just wanted to get it painted to prevent any corrosion. At the fender, there is a piece of 3" pvc that is bolted to the pipe coming through the fender to hold it in place. I then took a 12"x4" sheet of gasket material and cut it to attach the air scoop to the factory air box. Its held on by 2 clamps as shown in the picture. The final addition was a prefilter for my Airaid CAI. It was $26, but it will prevent any water from making it in to the intake along with keep the filter cleaner for longer. And it fits the filter perfect.

Bringing this thread back to life a bit. So what kind of gains did you see, performance? MPG gains?

No noticeable difference in power. Intake air temps did stay about 20-25 degrees cooler if I remember correctly.

And I couldn't tell you if I had an increase in mileage as I never calculated it.

Im thinking of doing mostly the same, but difference Im going to do is stick with the stock air box, so Im thinking I should see some gains, the downside to the way you had yours was the top was open so all the extra air pressure you were gaining that could have helped push more air in the motor was being lost right through the top. My thought is with the stock airbox being closed it will help push more air directly to the manifold and into the cylinders.
