I have been trying in vain to find a used Cap for my 09 Quad Cab, but found one off a 00. Does anyone know if this will fit? I don't want to have to buy a new cap. Any help greatly appreciated.

 

05+ are the same boxes so if you go back to 05 you may be able to find something.. Im not sure bout the second gens but I measured one off a 1st gen for the "long" box the length was good but it sat inside the bed rails by a couple inches it woulda worked hope this helps

 

If I remember correctly, they are not the same size. Not by much, but not the same size. Here is a cap I saw on CL, from NJ, may be too far to pick up for you though.
