Default Hints, tricks, and tips for TB Install

Hey guys,
I got my ported and polished TB in the mail today. Its used so it just needs a little cleaning and it should be ready to be installed. I have some gaskets on order at Napa that should be here tomorrow so Ill probably end up doing the install tomorrow night. I was just wondering if you guys have any tips for the throttle body removal and installation. Im thinking I need to disconnect the battery, remove all the sensors, and then the old TB? Any help is appreciated. And also, at Napa I ordered all 3 gaskets that were available for the 4.7l TB: a mounting gasket, a 21mm ring, and a 30mm ring. Will I need all three (obviously Ill need the mounting gasket, but Im not sure about the rings)? They were only a couple of bucks each so I figured I would just get them all and then worry about which ones I need. Thanks for your input.

Thanks Eric,
When I saw those I had no idea where they would go. The comments on napas website mention idle air control. Im thinking maybe they are in the intake manifold and not part of the throttle body or in one of the sensors as they are only 2-3cm in diameter.

The "bored/ported/polished/fastman" throttle bodies are supposed to give you better throttle response and better air flow. Some people say they get more HP from them as well, but I have read things that say there arent any HP gains due to the engine being a speed/density system instead of a MAF system. From what Ive read though people like them, so I wanted to find out for myself.

What you gain in HP you lose in torque. Only worth it if you are doing other mods along with it.
