Default TRX4 offroad

I was just wondering what the diffrence between the regular 4x4 and the TRX4 dakotas were besides the tires and the the cv shaft.

i dont know about the cv's but i think its just skid plates, fender flares, shocks, and supposably an 1" taller in the rear, along with the stickers, and some different colored body parts (bumper, grille,ect)

Oh well i only know about the cv shafts because when i went to get a new cv shaft there was a one with the offroad package(TRX4) and one without the package. I was wondering if i could just change my cv shafts when they go next to the offroad package version

I was asking the dealer and maybe its just canada cause we don't have a trx package for 08+ but its just the skid plating shocks are the same as my sxt

hmmm... i wonder whats different with the cv's, thats good to know, as far as the shocks go, mine are red, is that normal for all third gen's? i was told no, but havent looked into it yet

The red painted shocks as bs, there simply just painted red, and given a TRX4 package part number....They began to stop showing up on the TRX4's. Some got the standard black, some got red. Probably can't even get the red ones anymore.

that may be true, but i do hear a lot of complaints about the 3rd gen dak's ride quality, but to me, mine rides like a dream, no complaints what soever, even after the things i have done to it, even seems smoother than the lil woman's ford escape...

My TRX got red shocks also! :-)

so know that we are talking about the trx4 package, anyone know what "TRX4" stands for?? because i have no idea!!
