Well I know I'll need to change atleast the spline on the Transmission... but I was told by someone that I might have to change the whole drive train engine back...
Hence why I was looking for someone who did do this, so I can get it all figured out first before I do it...
ahh yeah I didnt think about that I was just making a general statement I am sure there isnt much though.
Yep, Not a whole lot of stuff but they do make some,
Cams
Fuel pins
Injectors
Bigger turbos
I think i saw headers somewhere to, But i cant find them
actually they make a lot of stuff for them, everything is exactly the same as the 6bt, just missing 2 cylinders, southbend bulit one up around 800hp, i had a 4bt i built up twin turbos and all, and mounted it in a clean 1980 dodge/mitsu D50 had it almost done and got frustrated trying to get the steering setup, then someone offered me a big chunk of change for everything other than the body and trans, and stupidly accepted, i kick myself in the *** everyday for selling it
I also read in a 4wheeler mag a while back they did a srt10 swap into a 1st gen durango but they had to knock back the firewall 8inches IIRC
thats because theres 2 more cylinders and 2 more cylinders mean more meat around them plus all the goodies.. anyone ever do sum math on how much it be to convert our trucks? i know the engine and tranny gonna be a good chunk.. i just know running the fuel lines is pain in the ***.
lol yeah two more cylinders is gonna take a lot of room I was just throwing it out there seeing as were talking bout engine swaps and blow had mentioned the srt8 ha
Gentlemen, like I have said before. If there is a will, there is a way. If you really want to make a viper engine fit, you are going to find a way to do it. If a 350 can be stuffed into a Gremlin, anything is possible.
