Gathering info... any 3rd gen engine swaps, don't care what to what just wanna know if anyone on here has done one yet.

 

Im trying to plan a Cummins 3.9L swap over the winter, But i need a lift kit first LOL

yeah I saw that thread, but didn't see any technical details and such which is what I'm looking for, such as like what excatly needs to be replaced, how much it cost... I'm looking at swapping my 3.7 for a 4.7 or even a Hemi if I can afford it, big problem for me is I want to still have a 6psd manual, don't know if I could do that with a Hemi, and don't know How much really needs to be replaced with the 4.7.

 

For the 4.7, I think all you would need is new mounts, pcm, and the engine. It should bolt right up.

 

Well I know I'll need to change atleast the spline on the Transmission... but I was told by someone that I might have to change the whole drive train engine back...


Hence why I was looking for someone who did do this, so I can get it all figured out first before I do it...

 

That is my future goal wit hthe truck.
