Default i know its beaten to death..

but i have a shop that will do 4,56 reverse rotation gears relatively cheap.. my cruising speed of 55-60 is around 15-1700 rpm. with 4.56 will this be around 2200 2300? will this be way overkill? need opinions quick. they said the 3.92s would only raise it 400 rpms which doesnt sound that great. and im not going through the trouble it takes for 4.10s

Default ok

all depends on the size of tire you have...my friend run 4:10 on 35'' tires and regret not to go 4:56...

but with 4:56 stock tires...forget it!

If you tow that boat you have in your picture alot I would go 4.56's with your 32-33" tires. I would do 4.10's with my stock tires if I had the money to do it, but I dont. Just my .02.

On my old Dakota I went from 3.92 to 4.56 and it raised my rpms approx. 400 rpms. 80mph with 28" tires was 3000 rpm, I got some 30" tires and it helped a little. The gears were a blast, no regrets what so ever. Huge increase in acceleration, slight improvement on city mileage. Negative impact was your gas mileage suffers a little on the highway. But with the larger diameter tires on the new models it probably doesn't hurt it as much.

You can go to 4lo.com and plug in the numbers to see the change in rpms

Dinger, are running the 3.7L? I can't remember. If so, I think the lower gears would be even better for your application.
