Default Painting grille

ok so i went to the autozone today and picked up paint that looked like my car color but is not the same paint code. My paint code for my truck is PBJ. and the paint code i picked up was PB3 which is Intense blue. And PBJ is Alantic blue. So do you think it will make much of a diffrence or what.

Find a piece of plastic that's a similar material to your grill and paint that first, then you can hold it up against the truck to compare. That way worst case if it doesn't look right you're only out the paint you used to try that.

it might not be a good idea to look at in some really good light or even outside. a lot of paints tend to have different sheams of color with lights on them. so your PBJ may have a purple glint to it in sunlight and the the PB3 could get a lighter blue affect.

I ordered paint online. Mine is PBT (Patriot Blue). PBJ is Atlantic Blue Pearl, PB3 is Intense Blue Pearlcoat, all different shades of blue. Make sure you also get a can of clearcoat. The basecoat will be dull and needs the clearcoat to make it shiny like the rest of the truck. Make sure you use real clearcoat too. I tried using just plain old glossy clear enamal and about ruined it.

its on the driver side door there will be a sticker that says your vin number and look on that for something that says. pnt (which stands for paint). Or sometimes there is a label inside your glove box. . Let me know if you can find it
