That is the same scoop I have and its well worth the $ as you will notice its a bolt on, not a "stick on." Meaning you can make it functional and it is solid as can be.

yeah, I just saw that, you can actually cut out the hood beneath, right? Without compromising the strength of the hood.

I repained the inside so it looks alot better now, but that is how it looked originally.

I really like that hood scoop, it does look bad ***. I do not have plans to put one on, but was curious about how you prevent rain or water from entering it?

couldn't u get a entire new hood for that price tho? in fiberglass

i think functional shaker hoods for the 2nd gens are around that price

If you are looking just at cost, I got one about two or three years ago at Stylintrucks.com for about $160 to the door, color match painted. I added the "gutta' mesh" to the front myself.

I had no choice, limb got my hood and I totally fugg'd it up trying to pop it out myself, so I needed a quick, cheap band aide...

For that price you can get this hood and it's functional. No need to cut anything.
