Default 285/50/20 on stock 05?

Do you guys think 285/50/20 tires will fit on my stock 05 4WD? I have trimmed the splash guards, but no leveling kit or anything. I have 265/75/16 on there now, and it looks like these would be 1/2" shorter, but over 1" wider than those.

I think slick said he had to put a leveling kit on it for it to fit though. PM him for more info.

I have 285/50/20 tires. I don't think that they will fit without the leveling kit. I had to do some trimming with the lift, without it I think you will have major rubbing.

i had 275/55 on for a month without my leveling and even with a TON of trimming they only rubbed a little. I would say if you dont mind trimming the **** out of the fender wells you may pull it off. The tread of the tires is also gonna play a descent role

I mean even with my truck i had 20's on it with that tire size and i didn't hae to trim anything and had slight rubbing you could only hear if it was dead quiet! but when i put 16X8 dick Cepek rims on it with the BFGOODRICH ALL TERRAINS on it, with the stock tire size it rubbed like crazy! i pretty much had to cut the whole bottom corner of the mud flaps off...that sucked!

Here's the end all comment... I have 285 50 20's and they do not fit stock. You will need to trim AND level. They are just too wide. I don't recommend these tires unless you are racing. I don't you would off road with 20 inch rims but that's another reason to get wide ones.
P.S. AMANKA where did you get your hood? It looks familiar...

I love these 285/50/20 but like everyone said you need the leveling kit is the only way these wide tires make the truck look bad azz.. I drive 100 miles a day to work and everything is great, you need to trim mudflap and you will still get a tad bit of rubbing on sway bar nothing to worry about..Cya Slick
