Default okay finally figured out what i'm doing

well after talking to blown and alot of other members and getting ideas and what not i've actually come out with a list of things i'm going to have done by this time next year. I'm not doing a diesel swap or hemi swap but building up my own motor.

12" Power Wire (10RWHP)
Solid Lash Adjusters
Electric Cooling Fan (10RWHP)
180 degree thermostat
H/O Cams (20RWHP)
Gibson "stainless" Shorty Headers (8RWHP)
Superchips Flashpaq 3865 (18RWHP)
New Coils and E3 spark plugs
CHRYSLER 9.25" 12 BOLT RING GEAR, DIFFERENTIAL COVER
Powder coated black

I mean with these mods i mean the H/O cams blown told me 20 and the superchips says it gives 18 the rest is really what they are stating it will give me but i doubt its 100% accurate but i mean even looking at it with these its adding up to 66RWHP!? i mean even if i get 50RWHP its still going to make my truck be alot more aggressive and maybe give my brother in his new 2005 Ram HEMI a Run for his money? but idk we'll see. But will deffinately keep things updated and more then likely for most of this end up asking BLOWN for help on 3-4 day weekends if he's willing and has the energy to help with the cams, thermostat, e-Fan and headers since i dont have the expert knowledge like he does. But that is my plan for August 1, 2011 to have done, that is counting the fact that i dont get deployed again in that time frame which god forbiding i do. but yeah thats my plans!

That is a good list. You bring that stuff to Omaha and I will help you install all of it.

sounds good...leveling kit is already done thats why its not on the list! but before i get home in december/january timefrom i'll have the thermo, flashpaq, 12" power wire, and Rear differential cover! Not to mention to add to the things i already have done to my truck. Intake, no reso flowmaster exhaust and true bore 68mm TB...truck will deffinately be suckin, squeezing, banging and blowin alot better! My question to you BLOWN or anyone really is, the Solid Lash Adjusters are they really good to have and do you have to take the heads off to install them?

Do you need solid lash adjusters with HO cams? No. Are they good to have, yes. You can optimize your valve train and set them to eliminate tick but they are not required. To install the camshafts and lash adjusters we will pull the valve covers but that is all. The heads will remain in place.

okay sounds good! well now that you say i dont have to remove the heads i might as well! i mean if we're gonna be right there might as well do it anyway and who knows maybe pull a couple extra horses out? idk...i can see myself now building this motor up to be powerfull N/A. I'm just glad to see they actually have some things for this truck now. I remember when I bought it i could barely find an intake for it! so atleast things have come out a little bit!

Most of the performance items are designed for other applications.

My valve springs are for a 4.6L Cobra Mustang.
My #39 Injectors are for a 4.6L Cobra Mustang
My supercharger is for a 2002 Dodge Ram
My 2-BAR MAP sensor is for an SRT4.
The Split Second was designed for the 2002 Durango.

Anyway, check this out.

One thing of note here, I believe a few guys are already running these together but RON (SC rep) over on the Superchips forums has recommended against using the power wire with the Superchips tuner.
