how hard is it really to replace the exhaust manifolds on he 4.7? I want headers in a bad way...high flow cats and true duals....but only if I can do the headers myself, in my garage, with nothing more than a set of ramps and hand tools... (i do have a compressor and impact wrench)....

well when i had mine i had to put them on myself and its not easy but its not over the top hard I mean its just a tight space it really is its tight! but not to hard just have to have patients!

Due to the bends its almost impossible to use an impact. Your best bet is to get a ratchet wrench with the hinge on the end. All bolts are 1/2 and 9/16. You can do them yourself and it is time consuming. It took me about two hours to do mine (2wd) and about four to install Trucky's on his 4x4.

yeah...but ? if you install headers and high flow cats and slightly larger y-pipe on a truck with...."68MM FASTMAN TB, INJEN INTAKE, AUTOLITE 3923'S, AND FLOWMASTER NO RESO EXHAUST EXITING BEFORE REAR PASSENGER TIRE, AND SUPERCHIPS TUNER" is it going to help the performance a bit or would it not have enough back pressure and hurt off the line?

Tuners and stuff like that are for pretty much stock or close to stock vehicles. When you get into a bunch of mods like blown or trucky is going for a custom tune is needed.

so you saying with what i have done i should be fine and dont have to worry about anything?
