Thanks everyone for comments.
WTEBOY703 I hear you. The first time I heard it, I thought OMG is that the same motor.
I wish this site had been around or I had thought of making a CAI for my 2001 Dakota. I would have saved about $150
just have a few questions is that a 3" or 4" fernco coupler, 3" or 4" pipe and what elbows would i need a 45 and a 22.5? and then what size of filter would fit on there

DakDak, it's all 3" ABS pipe couplers and elbows. I just went down to Lowes and started putting couplers and elbows together. I also picked out a pre-cut 2' by 3" ABS pipe and ABS glue. All told I think I spent around $20 to $25 bucks.
You'll want to get a 3" filter either dry or oiled. I had the 3" K/N from my old truck.
Does any body knows if a V6 3.7lt. motor, will sound as good as the V8 4.7lt as anybody describe here with this homemade CAI?
I want to do it, but if will not hear any difference I will not do it..
Thanks
Victor
I personally have not heard the v8 with cai. I have the 3.7L and I didn't have the reaction these guys did, but it does make a HP difference. (I wonder if I can't hear it because of the flowmaster 44 and no resos?)
