WAIT! REMOTE START AND FACTORY ALARM?!? All over the mopar parts websites is says that each one isnt compatible with the other. I dont get it .... unless it has something to do with the 2005 model year.
Well mine is an 2007. If i lock the truck with the key fob while i'm inside and i open the door, the horn start blasting and the lights flashing. So i got a factory alarm!!!!

an aftermarket "add on" remote start is like 80 bucks to buy at almost any directed electronics dealer. I have installed hundreds of them. you will still need the vehicle bypasses and relays if it has an alarm. install would probably be around 100 if you brought it to me. I am sure those prices are pretty competitive in your area.
then to start your truck, you would just press the lock button twice, and as long as you were in range, it would remotely start.
