Angry Still don't have my truck yet....

So as a couple of you may know, I was suppose to pick up my 06 Dakota on Tuesday. That is when the dealer promised delivery. Well I get a phone call from the sales manager on Tuesday saying when they started the truck up it was idling very rough and I wouldn't be able to pick it until yesterday so they could fix it. THEN, yesterday the sales manager calls me and says that the part they ordered didn't fix the problem! Now I don't know when I can pick it up!!
My question is this: has anyone had any problems with the 3.7 running rough? or the 4.7 for that matter? Sorry I just had to vent, thanks in advance..

Do a search on rough idle. They pretty much all do it (4.7) at some point and time, not sure about the 3.7.

My 06 3.7L has never been rough...

hopefully it hasn't been missing this whole time...

might want to look someplace else for another dakota.

In all honesty, youre lucky you have a good enough dealer that wants to fix the problem before giving you the truck. Most would just tell you theres no engine light, so the truck is fine and the rough idle is normal operation. Hopefully they can fix the problem for you, give your money back, or get you a sweet deal on a better Dakota. Sorry you didnt get your truck, but Im happy you didnt get one with a problem. Good luck!
