What I like:
Although it is going to cost somewhere close to $2,000 to get my Dak to tow heavy loads the way I want it to (4.10:1 gears, Superchips, rear airbags/compresser, EBC brakes, brake controller, etc) it is still less than buying a full size PU. When I'm done, I still won't have a payment.
It fits into my garage
It's a little easier to drive and park in town.
Gas mileage is okay.
It looks pretty good.
What I don't like:
It's 5 years old.
It doesn't have Bluetooth or a Nav.
The brakes are a little weak.
The LIKES beat the DON'T LIKES (especially the NO PAYMENT) part and no matter what truck I have, I'll find that there are things I need to add/change.

Garage? You use your garage to park your truck? WOW!
Payments don't go away for a couple more years. By that time, I'll probably have close to 200k on it. Right now I'm pretty close to 100K and I've only had it for three years.
Latest thing I'm thinking of changing is the 4x4 sticker on the rear fenders. I like the smaller later ones found on the 2008 and newer models. Going to buy a pair, spray some nightshade on them to smoke them just a little bit and try those. When/if I can get some Nightrunner wheels, I'm hoping they will match in color. That'll have to increase horsepower by at least 10%, right?

HWCURTICE -
Bluetooth clips on the visor ???
I'd sure like to know more about that. I am going to get a Garmin GPS soon.
As of Saturday there is something more that I like about my Dak - it now has 4.10:1 and Tracloc. I had a concern that the speedo would have to be somehow synced to the axle ratio but on my 9.25", there is a reluctor ring next to the ring geat that picks up the signal for the rear abs as well as the speedo/odo. Because of it, there is nothing that need to be done for the speedo to be accurate. It's independant of the ratio. Very cool !

i enjoy my dak because i hardly see any my color, atlantic pearl blue, A.R.E. came out with the lo pro fiberglass tonneau that fits great on the truck, klings design did a great job on the bed and deck stripes. only dislike i had was the frt suspension, granted it was nice at the track lauching out of the hole but daily driving was getting to me, also going thru to many nitrous bottles. but at $32.00 to fill a 10lb bottle aint bad. truck now has 96000 miles on it and still goes like a raped ape!!!!

So the real reason I started this thread so many months ago... I bought a surplus military trailer to haul the kind of stuff I really don't want banging around the bed of my truck and hanging outside of it as well.
Well, yeah, The Dakota has towing issues with this trailer. It might be just a little too much trailer at an empty weight of only 1,300 lbs. Can you imagine what it would be like if I actually carried anything, like gravel or dirt?
So, thoughts on how to get some much needed power into this beast when I need it? But not all the time? A tuner, perhaps? Which tuner? I don't think a supercharger is where I want to go. I know a turbocharger won't do.
I'm pretty sure there's some way to reduce the trailer weight, but not that much as I still want it to be able to handle loads of dirt, gravel, and the like.
Yes, I bought a truck to use as a truck. But the shortcomings of a midsized truck have me wanting more. And right now, a full size it out of the question.
Oh the humanity....

Things i didnt like bout my truck:
1. Not deer proof.
2. the distance between wheel wells in bed is not 4 foot or more. (kinda hard to haul sheetrock or plywood)
3. cruise controll varied speed too much.
Things i loved:
Darn near'd every thing else.
Even though it had a 3.7, It did EVERYTHING I asked it to do. I pulled a couple pieces of farm impliments, i had the bed and my hitch haul loaded to the max (the last camping trip i had about 1 inch of travel in the rear axle till it bottomed out) with camping gear multipul times, and it still maintained 75mph down the highway (with no wind).
I miss it.
