I have an 08 model year and the radio seems to be satellite-ready. Is it? Where is the antenna? There is a bump, I think, on the back of the roof. Is that it?

 

Yea, that "bump" is your satellite antenna. It's more like a black plastic "pod". A couple ways to tell if your radio is satellite ready are: 1. There should be a button on the face between or around the radio/disc buttons. 2. The unit should have come with 6-12 months free Sirius programming if you bought the truck new from a dealer.

If the head unit did come pre-equipped, and you haven't subscribed/renewed since the free trial expired, you will have to buy a subscription in order to receive programming.

So I am all set. The only quesiton is the cost. Heard their prices have gone up quite a bit.
