Hey dakoff, if you have a chance could you just take a picture with the sub on the floor in the back seat just so I can get an idea of how it fits? Id really like to do the 8" but Im thinking a 6" would fit better and possibly sounds better being they are both powered by a 100w amp.

I went to the Sony outlet to see if they still had the sub and enclosure package I wanted but they didnt. I think the bass tube may be my best option.

Here ya go, the tube is 18 3/4" long. I would figure the 8" would sound better than the 6", the bigger is better theory.

Thanks dakotaff! I appreciate it! That does fit pretty nice in there, and with my tinted windows no one will probably ever be able to see it from outside. The only way I would get a 6" is if it could fit behind the seat, but I highly doubt there is that much room. An 8 inch it is!

Turn the sub around so that the speaker itself is loading into the door. Bazooka tubes were meant to be corner loaded, which means that the speaker should be pointed into a corner or wall.

Yes, face the door, good catch six_shooter.

I'm not sure which 8" model that I have. Anyone know if I do have the crossover adjustment on the tube as well as level adjustment, is that the 200 watt model? I'm hoping so. I can't find any of my paperwork for it.

If it's older than about 2006 it would be 140W. It was only after 2006 or so that SAS added the high power models.

Looks like it's getting some pretty good reviews.

Should I wire it using the FAST-BTAH and FAST-9999 or just wire it to the high level going to the right-rear speaker? And anything special for electrical wiring? I was almost thinking of just doing a cigarette lighter that was only hot with the ignition to wire it up (since it is only 100w) and that would make it an easy quick disconnect if anyone ever needs to ride back there. If I do a wire straight from the battery, it will be hot all the time and drain the batter. Unless the tubes have an auto shut off or something. Any thoughts? Ive never wired an amp before. All I know is youre supposed to run a heavy guage wire from the battery to the amp (possibly with a capacitor), a remote-switch from your head unit, and a low-level from your head unit running seperatly from your power wires to avoid interferance. Would I need all of this for a Bazooka?

I figured just run a power wire straight to the battery, since my stereo is always on anyway. I have to wire to both the left and right speakers, high level, that's what the install calls for with my tube. Just pick up an amplifier wiring kit. As far as removing it, I have to pick up a Connecting plug for easy removal. Something like this, just gotta find the right one.
