Interesting. I had heard that the y pipe made all the difference and the headers were meh. Anyone else care to weigh in on this?

Theres a picture by trucky I believe floating around showing the stock y-pipe. Defiently a lot of restriction. On a stock motor, the y-pipe is a great place to start, IMO. Both the exhaust manifolds and cats have been noted as high flow for being factory, its everything after that that gets tight.

i safely run a 125 shot of hemi nitrous into my 05 4.7, but with certain mods and the proper tuning, never advance the timing with nitrous, i run 20 degree retarded for my timing, around town the truck is a pooch, but once the button is hit, boy does it go. as for headers, they are a waste, for 75.00 you can get a larger y-pipe and get the same effect. go into my garage and look at what i have and blown 287 have for mods, then you will see what it takes to bring these 4.7s to life, and its 32.00 to fill a 10lb bottle of nitrouse and my kit was 600.00, great set up
