Is this virbration issue only a QC issue or both QC and CC??
Now I dont really count because of the milage of my truck but I dont have those issues yet my truck rides smooth!
Is the vibration in the seat of your pants or on the steering wheel?
As I can see it is a common thing but I would check the simple things first, I say this from experience.
Check the tires, new tires can be defective .....I have 4 rear tires on a truck at work with 7k on them and they are finished (vibrating)
1) Check them on a balancing machine while you watch and go to somebody else with a decent machine and get an extra opinion.
If there is NO hop in the tire, you can count them out.
2) I am thinking hanger bearing and agree with whoever said U-joint area.

I had a bent rear rim, maybe 0.25" runout, and the truck would be alternate between smooth and severe shaking. It was bizzare and uncomfortable. I would look in the rear view mirror and see the bed vibrating relative to the cab.
The shop took the tire off the rim, and the wobble became evident.
Also, IMO:
A decent shop will balance the wheels once, and you can pretty much rule that out.
"Road Force Balancing" can find some weird problems...for about $99 and up. It didn't actually diagnose my bent rim.
Also, an unloaded 3rd gen truck is just jittery on anything but the best pavement. It smooths out noticably with 500+ LB in the bed.
Enjoy your 2007 - I agree that they seem to be the most reliable of the fugly-nose body style, espically with more expensive items like steering racks, ball joints.
P.S. this my first time reading DodgeForum, let alone posting in close to a year I! Good to see people are still curious their Daks.
